- We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal information.
- Your settings and usage counters are stored only on your own device.
- Only the caption text of the YouTube video you are watching is sent to Google Translate, to translate it and create the dubbed voice.
- There are no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking.
1. Who we are
YouTube Auto-Dub & 100 Language Subtitles ("the extension") is a browser extension developed by Nadeesha Sahen Weerasekara ("we", "us"). It translates YouTube videos into the language you choose, showing translated subtitles and/or speaking a voice dub in sync with the video.
2. Information the extension handles

3. Information we do not collect
- Names, email addresses or any other personally identifiable information
- Your browsing history or the list of videos you watch
- Google or YouTube account details, passwords or cookies
- Location, payment or health information
The extension has no servers of its own and sends no data to us.
4. Third-party services
To translate captions and generate the voice, caption text is sent to Google Translate services operated by Google LLC. That processing is covered by Google's Privacy Policy. The extension works on YouTube pages, which are covered by YouTube's own terms and privacy policy.
5. Permissions the extension uses
- storage – saves your settings and usage counters on your device.
- Access to youtube.com – reads the video's captions, shows the translated subtitles and plays the dubbed voice.
- Access to translate.googleapis.com and translate.google.com – translates caption text and creates the voice.
6. Data sharing and sale
We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, other than sending caption text to Google Translate as described above. We do not use data for advertising, profiling or creditworthiness, or for any purpose unrelated to translating and dubbing YouTube videos.
7. Data retention and your control
Settings and usage counters stay on your device until you change them or remove the extension. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of its stored data. You can turn subtitles and dubbing off at any time from the extension popup.
8. Children
The extension does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be noted in the extension's release notes.
